The Barrington area is broken up into smaller villages and not all will offer equestrian zoned homes. It comes down to the size of the acreage in most cases. So are there any equestrian zoned properties in Lake Barrington? The answer is maybe, but there will never be very many.
Lake Barrington is a town with about 5,000 residents. It’s home to Lake Barrington Shores the gated community of condos and town houses, the remaining homes are single family and the majority are one 1 to 2 acre lots. The rules for land being zoned for horses is determined by each village, so Lake Barrington village will determine if a property can be zoned for horses.
At the time of writing there are 57 single family homes available for sale and only 1 of those is zoned for horses. Unusual for Lake Barrington it has 6.5 acres. In the last 5 years there has not been one property sold in Lake Barrington that was zoned for horses.
So in answer to the question, if horse property is what you are looking for I would not suggest anything more than a glance at Lake Barrington. Your better choices will be Barrington Hills and Unincorporated Barrington, both of which have more property with the required acreage.
