Barrington Hills was first a church community and residents settled along the east side of Fox River. In the 1900’s business executives from Chicago started buying large parcels of land and building summer homes. Some of the acreage was also used for dairy farming. Barrington Hills early homes appear to be estate sized residences, the sizes were suitably large for the time or farmhouses. Barrington Hills slowly expanded until it was incorporated into the village in 1957. Much of the homes built around this time were single story ranch homes. Housing sizes have certainly increased and Barrington Hills became known for the McMansion in the early 2000’s.

It’s also important to know that only Realtor websites have all the listings. The big portal advertising sites may only show 70% of the homes listed for sale in Barrington Hills. A Barrington Hills buyers agent is someone who knows the lay of the land. As a local Barrington resident Corinne services the Barrington area as her primary location. Corinne is a buyers agent that focuses on the needs of your family first. Every buyer has a unique set of goals for buying or building a home. Corinne’s goal is not a sale, it’s about protecting you as a buyer throughout the process and helping guide you to the right home.
Helping buyers is something any Realtor can do, but for Corinne it’s her natural point of aim, something she excels at and derives great pleasure from. By choice she owns a small boutique-like real estate brokerage in Barrington and chooses to serve professionals whether they are moving locally or relocating into Barrington Hills. She understands the laws of buyer brokerage agency and how it translates into better service to only work one side of a sale. Corinne will never double dip, even though legal in Illinois, she feels it’s a conflict of interest to work both sides.
Corinne does not sell 100 homes a year or more, nor grind out sales to achieve a status. That does not equal better service for any client, in fact it may contribute to poor service. If you want dedicated service from a buyers agent, contact Corinne at 847-363-3686. A quick chat or a meeting will soon see if we have a connection and are on the same path for your home purchase or lot purchase. You can also read testimonials from other luxury home buyers in the Barrington area.
