The original subdivision in the Honey Lake area was called Biltmore Country Estates and included the Biltmore Country Club. On October 31st 1959, area residents voted to incorporate into the Village of North Barrington. This was the same day as Lake Barrington’s incorporation into a village; they were named the sister villages.
