Barrington Realty Company would like to wish you all a Very Happy New Year.
2014 is going to be a busy year for us. In addition to the increased home sales in Barrington for 2013 which are set to increase even more this coming year we’ve got more family projects on the go.
Our eldest son is launching his Motorbike Performance business which will be based in Schaumburg. That’s going to take some time while we organize and launch it. The racing side of what he does scares me to pieces, 200mph on the drag strip. At least during winter he takes a break from racing! What he does is make bikes go fast! He does a few cars too.
In six days I am on a plane bound for the United Kingdom. As an English girl it’s time to go and visit the family and with the weather outside so snowy, even though I love snow, real estate is quiet; so January is a logical month to do this. I’ll only be away eight days and I know my cats will miss me more than my humans. 🙂
My youngest son is about to start his final semester at college, he’s all set to graduate in May 2014. It seems he’s no different to many undergrads. After year one he did a complete switch in his major. So extreme was the switch than many electives done were useless, so he is in year five. He’s ready to stop the learning part and go out into the big wide world, earn some money and become independent.
I am also launching a WordPress consulting business for real estate agents. When the demand is so high from agents I know around the country, it’s only logical to formalize it. I am waiting until I return to release the full details but it’s an exciting project as I am such an internet geek.
In the meantime the winter here in Barrington continues it’s routine: cold, very cold, snow and lots of snow. I love the winter and snow, well I can never get enough of it. I think we are about done for this round and I have to go and clear snow from a listing I have as the owner is out of town and I promised he need not worry.
We hope you have some exciting plans and dreams for 2014. Wishing you all a Happy and Prosperous 2014.
