Parents of children moving to a new location always have schools on their mind. Known as Barrington School District 220 the schools have well documented report cards. Whether or not Barrington schools are right for parents and their children is something no REALTOR should ever answer and no other parent or child either. We all have different perspectives and desires. Report cards can give parents the academic perspective, the rest is something you and only you should decide. Barrington schools has a comprehensive website, visit them or connect with their administration.

Although Barrington is a medium town we do have a major hospital, Good Shepherd Hospital located in the north part of town. Good Shepherd belongs to the Advocate Health Care Group. Transportation to From Barrington and Chicago To The World
When you move to a new home and don’t know the area it’s good to know some basics for travel and commuting. Barrington is about an hour from the city of Chicago. Commuters use both I-90 and Metra. We’re also about 40 minutes from O’Hare international airport. Local residents need to consider Barrington as one thing, a car needed location.
We all want to know different things relating to the demographics of a town. Crime, weather, population, median home prices, income levels and lots of demographic information. So where’s the best information source for all of that? I’ve always used city-data when exploring other locations, you can search by state, city and zip. Check out Barrington here. If you want to know more about the real estate market conditions you can find those here, we’ve got a section for each year, just use the navigation bar above for the current year and all market reports here.
