Last week was a busy week with two buyers closing on their Barrington properties. One buyer was a relocation purchase, the other a more local move. Homes were sold in Unincorporated Barrington on acreage, the second sale was in, a waterfront town home. When homes close, donations follow.
I support a local animal shelter, Save a Pet in Grayslake Illinois. We have often adopted cats from Save a Pet. The last two were twins and we still have them. Like all pet shelters they go through hard times, donations were down when the economy tanked, but they do such needed and good work. I try to help every year by donating a portion of my commission. I know that every little helps. So with two closings last week, today I doubled the usual donation.
If you are in the market of buying or selling in Barrington IL, remember that for every home sold, money is donated to the charity of my choice. It’s my little way of paying things forward. Some may ask why animals? It’s simply because I have a love of animals but also because they don’t have a voice, they rely on humans to be their voice. Animals bring such joy to human lives. Consider adopting from a shelter, any shelter when you next decide to add a pet to your family.
