This is our first market report for real estate in the small village of Fox River Grove. Comprised mostly of single family homes the newer neighborhoods include Foxmoor, Victoria Woods and Hunters Farm. There are homes on The Fox River. The zip code is 60021. Some homes share Barrington Schools with neighbors Lake Barrington and Barrington Hills.
Fox River Grove is home to the famous ski hill jump, it towers high onto the sky. Not an attraction for real estate but the locals know it well.

Not much activity this year in Fox River Grove in January and February but spring should change that.

This first chart shows all homes sold in Fox River grove over the last three years. We did see a drop in volume in winter 2018, it climbed throughout the year to a very healthy high in December. Those closings would be October and November contracts.

You can expect to sell very close to your asking price. The hardest homes to sell in Fox River Grove are the highest prices which are usually Hunters Farm. That’s normal for any market. Sellers in the highest price homes are often competing with a different market which in this case would be Lake Barrington. The market overall in Barrington is in the doldrums. So be prepared to experience what they are which is 9 months marketing time.

Be prepared. Homes on Fox River Grove are selling fast, especially at the median price of $243,000. The homes in several neighborhoods are great priced family homes and in demand.
