History of Tallgrass Lake Barrington
Located at the corners of Kelsey Road and Rivers Road, this is going to be a gated neighborhood of 67 homes set among 110 acres of land. Originally the development started building in 2006 before the real estate market and economy declined after which all building stopped; nobody was buying. A few homes were built at Tallgrass Lake Barrington and some of the lots were sold. The existing plans ended because the builder filed bankruptcy, builded stopped for several years.
Now Taylor Morrison the new builder is on site and building has started again. You can only use your builder and build your custom home if you owned or buy one of the original lots not owned by the current builder. Many of the lots in Tallgrass have sweeping views across conservation land. You can select lookout or walkout basements if the lot allows. Lots are about 1 to 2 acres and therefore you’ll need wells for water and septic systems. This is standard for Lake Barrington. Homes in Lake Barrington also now require an in-house sprinkler system. No fences are allowed so pet containment fences are needed. Tallgrass falls inside the Barrington 200 school district boundaries.
